History and perspectives of the Institute

Our Institute is founded 4 September 2002 in Warsaw, Poland.

Its official title is: International Dr. Svetlana Masgutova Institute (ISMI)

In the past its title was: International NeuroKinesiology Institute of Movement Development and Reflex Integration™ (INKI).

The main goal of the Institute is the Studies and Practical Application of the Masutova  NeuroKinesiology Methods for Movement Development and Infant and Lifelong Reflexes Integration. Our many Programs are based on the concept and programs of Dr. Svetlana Masgutova and also such programs as: Educational Kinesiology (Dr. Paul Dennison and Gail Dennison, USA - www.braingym.ogr) and Developmental Kinesiology (started by Renate Wennekes, Germany – www.ikl-damme.de), Touch for Health (founded by Dr. John Thie, USA – www.touch4healt.com) and other kinesiology programs.

Holistic, the most new “Brain-Body” Integrating and Developmental Movement systems are our main focus in scientific research and teaching the specialists and parents. In our work we address the genetic resources of Primary Movement and to create non-invasive, facilitating Methods for support of Natural Learning and effective Personal Growth.

The Founders of the Institute are Dr. Svetlana Masgutova, Piotr Hawryluk and Denis Masgutov.

Dr. Svetlana Masgutova is the specialist in Developmental and Educational Psychology and International Edu-K Faculty of the Edu-K Foundation (USA).

Piotr is the specialist in Rehabilitation and Physical Training.

Denis Masgutov is a graduator of the Psychology Department of the Warsaw University. All of us are the creators of NeuroKinesiology Programs.. These programs are created thanks to our intensive work with our Children and Adults with Challenges in our International Camps-Conferences and Institute. We are happy to be so effective in our support of their development.

Our Institute is open for effective research projects and developmental programs.

Our Institute is supported by hundreds and hundreds of specialists and also by organizations in Poland and in other countries – Russia, Germany, Sweden, Switzerland, France, Belgium, USA, Canada, Israel, Singapore, Argentina… It has actually opened on requests and advice of wonderful people searching for growth and natural health. We are very and very much grateful to each person and organization for supporting our development.

Our Institute co-operates with National and International Leaders of different programs: Dr. Paul Dennison, Gail Dennison (USA) – www.braingym.ogr, Dr. Renate Wennekes (Germany), Pamela Curlee – www.pamelacurlee.com, Tawni Laurence (USA), Dr. Fred Donaldson (USA-Sweden), Beverly Hunter (USA) www.switchonlight.com, Dr. med Harald Bloomberg (Sweden), Prof. Ludvica Sadowska, Prof. Elzbieta Ronin-Walknowska, Prof. Jonna Kruk-Lasocka, Dr. Anna Wolska, Dr. Bozena Dolyk, Dr. Anna Regner, and many other University teachers.

Our goal is to create the School on Dr. Svetlana Masgutova NeuroKinesiology Programs on level of the University curriculum – www.masgutovainstitute.com, www.masgutovamethod.com.

Being so young our Institute still has its own history. It prolongs the work and traditions of “Ascent” Education Institute of Edu-K and Psychological Assistance (Russia). Many of research projects and 19 of 29 training programs are taken from “Ascent” Institute and will be continued in our ISMI. Among them programs devoted to:

• NeuroKinesiology of Reflexes^TM - Movement Development and Reflexes Integration
• Speech Development and Edu-K devoted to the work with Reflexes influencing speech, communication, manual and other skills within the program Masgutova Facial Reflexes Integration^TM
• Art-Kinesiology® - Creative Art: Drawing and NeuroKinesiology
• Audio-Vision Reflexes Integration
• Movement Development and Diagnosis of Reflexes Integration and Natural Learning Skills
• Using NeuroKinesiology for Personal Growth and Success in Business.

We are open to other humanistic programs and cooperate with the world wide known authors as Don Campbell ("Mozart Effect" Program) – www.mozarteffect.com, and Fred Donaldson (Original Play Method) and others.

The research work on Reflex Integration done during 18 years gave the possibility to create many highly efficient programs. The unique combination of NeuroKinesiology programs on Infant and Lifelong Reflexes Integration with other Psychological and Educational programs gave us possibility to found new affiliate Organizations in Poland (Wroclaw and other Cities, and also in the USA  - Svetlana Masgutova Institute for reflex Integration). We are supported by the Specialists and Parents of the “Challenged Children” Group in San-Fransisco (Leader Valerie Frietas) – http://groups.yahoo.com/group/childrenwithchallenges/
